The AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition is being held from October 9-11 in Washington, D.C. That is the Association of United States Army. It is a non-profit organization designed to increase awareness of Army needs, mission, supplies needed and importance of networking with other veterans, businesses, and the public. In attendance, there will be regular Army, Reserve, retired and Army civilian organizations. Primarily an educational meeting, the focus will be on how today’s Army has evolved through demonstrations in technology, supply, and tactics employed in our military endeavors.
The meeting is located at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. There will be over 600 displays and booths showcasing supplies and equipment used in today’s Army. Among the speakers in attendance, there will be the Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army and Sergeant Major of the Army. There will also be an International VIP Networking Breakfast, a Dwight David Eisenhower luncheon and a George Catlett Marshall Reception and Dinner. These informal events are designed to bring community and leaders of the Army together so that rapport can be built and questions asked and answered.
The Warriors To The Workforce Hiring Pavilion will be hosting through The American Freedom Foundation, a job fair designed to help our country’s veterans meeting with some of the decision makers involved in our corporate sponsors. There will be an opportunity to join the A.U.S.A. for as low as $40 for a 2-year membership, $75 for a five-year membership or $400 for a lifetime. Of course, $10 for two years membership is available for E-1 to E-4 military personnel, and U.S. Military Academy and ROTC cadets.
In attendance at the meeting, ADS Inc., a global leader in logistics, will be a primary leader in this year’s meeting.
